Here is a 2 Day Road Trip Itinerary which worked well for us and you can give a try for your weekend getaway.
Day 1:
Srirangapatnam
- Ranganathaswamy Temple
- Tipu’s Summer Palace – Daria Daulat Bagh
- Lord Bailey’s Dungeon
Ranganadittu Bird Sanctuary
KRS Dam
Route: Nice road - Ramanagara - Channapatna - Srirangapatna - Ranganadittu – Mysore
Road Condition: Good
Food: Many pit stops and restaurants on the Highways
Day 2:
Somnathpur Temple ( Road condition is bad for a few miles but its worth a visit )
Mysore Palace
Tips: Start early to beat the crowd and traffic, to make the most of your time.
Tried and Tested:
Hotels - "Hotel Quorum" was a good place to stay. Staff, stay and food were good.
