A lazy Sunday morning , we woke up late showered and went out for breakfast.
We did not have any plan for the day. We wanted to roam around but bored with the same old malls in the City. Recently one of our friends had told us about a "Pyramid Valley" thought it might be a good day to check it out.
Started our drive by 10A.M , it was an hour and 10 mins drive from Silk Board. The initial drive on the highways was quite alright but once we turned into the road leading to the pyramid valley it was small mud road passing through a village , the last 2 Kms drive was a bit rough with the road small enough only to fit a vehicle.
On reaching the Pyramid valley there was ample space to park the car , not very crowded but there were decent number of people. No entry fee but just charged for the parking. It was a serene location very close to nature, It was hard to imagine such a place so close to the city.
We walked around for a while in the tree lined trials , It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the middle of bamboo trees , hearing the birds chirp and see the butterflies fly around which you don't see anymore in the City.
We then went into the main attraction here the Pyramid itself , a gigantic structure built for meditating. Once you enter you can see murals of Buddha on the wall and as you go around it you will enter the space for meditation with chairs arranged around the room for seating , when you climb up the stairs there is an elevated platform called "King's chamber". This is an elevated platform in the middle of the pyramid for meditation , we were told the flow of energy is more here.
We sat here for a while meditating . It was quite and we could here the birds chirping and leaves rustling as we sat there , If you are into meditation this a good place for you.
but if you are looking for some exciting or adventurous hang out then this might not be the place for you. This place is all about a Pyramid structure for meditation , greenery , a lake and some cottages for stay.
As we exited the meditation center we found a small souvenir shop with books , post cards , wall posters with quotes.
They provided free lunch for the visitors , it was a sumptuous vegetarian meal and after the heavy meal we walked around the lake , there is a small lake and a park where people were hanging out.
After spending sometime we started on our drive back home...
They say meditation is silencing the chatter of a restless mind , indeed it was silencing not just a chattering mind but the hustle and bustle of the city.
Unlike our usual trips this one was indeed quiet different , a calm day away from all the noise and pollution.
