Routes :
There are multiple routes to reach this destination from Bangalore but we tried the below two
Bangalore - Hosur - Thenkanikottai - Anjatti - Hoggenakkal ( Last few kms are ghat roads with several hair pin bends but a very scenic one )
Electronic City ( Bangalore ) - Chandapura-Attebelle - Hoggenakkal ( Drive is pretty much good )
Driving Time : 3 Hrs from Bangalore
Tips :
Try to reach the place early before the crowd. The best time to visit would be on a weekday as weekends is said to be very crowded and the whole place gets messy with the oil massages.
You can either visit the place either immediately after the monsoons when the water flow is heavy , you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the falls ( October to March ) or
during the dry season when the water levels are moderate , you can enjoy bathing in the chill water fall , enjoy swimming in the river , and also boating is allowed only during this time when the water falls is not very strong for the boats.
Food : A lot of Hotels are available on the Highways
